#twitterartexhibit in Norway

This is call for artists organized by the Norwegian colorist - expressionist artist @DavidSandumArt. He send this call on twitter for A real life Twitter art exhibit! and his main idea was to getter artists from all over, who will create card/s with their style of work and support the organizer in making a big exhibit in the city library in Moss, Norway. The library (bibliotek in Norwegian) is located in a part of town called Møllerbyen that used to be part of the towns industry (years ago).

I really like his idea, because he wants to make the expo, and our art works to be for sale but the money to be used in charity. The prize for all the cards will be the same, that was also one of my basic motivation to participate. And also 140 artist (the first idea), call via twitter in 140 characters, the final result, amazing idea that I waned to support.

..so far for the #twitterartexhibit he received art from 173 artists (few days left until the deadline, November 27th, and the wall that is made inside the Bibliotek it will be able to show 240 cards.

In the beginning I didn't know what to send from the things that I constantly made here in France but most of them didn't fit the size, so I decide to make one week of dynamic creative producing so I can have few works from which I can choose which to send.

I made about 20 paintings/ cards, acrylic on paper-board and for final there were 3 that were telling we are the one that we'll go. The other one that are part of this collection (private for now) you can see it here ~ #artExhibit.

This are my friends, my characters that will present @kihuPotru on this expo.

 I_Go. I; I_Go. II; I_Go. III;

In meanwhile, I had one more idea in my mind. Sometimes I made art/ painting workshops with the kids that are coming in the association Jacques Prevert. For me was perfect idea, in perfect time. I was doing my cards when the kids were inspired to paint with me also. I didn't wait a second after I had 4-5 kids around me. I take big paper and give to all of them one color in big 1l bottle. Every kid was having one color in his hand and brush in the other.

I explain to them that I want to have one big abstract painting made by all of them in 140 seconds. My idea was also in 140 moves, I had already 9 kids on which I was trying to tell to don't make more then 10 moves, so I can reach the number 140, not all of them listen and will stop with 10 moves. :)

It was workshop like start, go, go, go..STOP!

We repeat the process on 3 big paper-boards. For the new paper they were changing their colors, so they can have opportunity to express them selves in different way. I catch that in the box with brushes there were also some teeth brushes and some of the kids in their hands were having them. Pretty experimental for me, so happy about the idea for the exhibition as for the idea of this action painting workshop were the kids were making collective pieces of art.

I'll just mention here with 2 photos that the same canvases that I already made and wrote about here were part of the stand that AJP made for presentation of their association, program and activities on one local fair for association and organizations that work in this field – education and animation of kids, teenagers and youngsters in general.

I was very happy searching the photos on the ajp camera and finding how they use the things that I made for them multiply times.

So, voila..mood: happy :D

There was this part of the wall under the big painting that was not in good situation and also with half of the color out. We had one event last week and the president of the Association Jacques Prevert together with the program coordinator ask me about any idea how we can arrange the big room for this event.

I give idea that I can make graffiti under the painting so with that we can cover the destroyed wall and also make a promotion with writing the name of the association. For the other walls I propose to select the best works: paintings, collages, sketches that we do with the kids for on their painting activities.

All at all cleaning the space in the room, give new function and adapt for the event that follow. I succeed to finish the graffiti for maybe 5 hours work in 2 days and in the other time helping the others with making the cartoon frames for the kids works and also trying to make the composition of all this 20-30 paintings from them. We decide that the sheets that I've paint and write before we can use with putting them on the walls too. We made colorful ambient and perfect atmosphere for the event.

I have new idea, for the wall that is still empty, maybe it will be realized soon :))

Amazing finding was the concert that we attend this Wednesday []10.1110] d day before my BIRTHday. One friend of mine told me about the program of this event called 'festival Musiques Volantes' few hours before the start and it was great that for such a little time after he told me he found the invitation for me, so I could attend too.

It was concert for electronic, ambient, experimental music on which I had opportunity to listen two artists with different styles of electro and to watch one vj..

The first or the resident were KOMPARCE from Metz and they were perfect combination of experimental video and sophisticated electronica ambient with sound that flow and create positive fluids in the atmosphere. Progressive with some industrial, even moments with melody that's rich with musical mix beats, samples, analog sequences over the lines etc.. amazing project by Christophe Biache (MR BIOS) & Samuel Ricciuti (DOG BLESS YOU)

this is the video that I made from small part of their set_

JAN JELINEK is a German electronic musician who also operates under the names of Farben, Gramm and The Exposures. His music is usually categorized as minimal techno, glitch or microhouse, and is characterized by deep basslines, extensive use of samples from earlier jazz and rock recordings, and clicks & cuts effects. He is the founder of the German record label Faitiche. (f...wikipedia is doing a good job sometimes)

..he had some problems with the live..some of the cables were not working proper and every time he wanted to go up with the frequencies the sound was scratching and stopping. Even that he had this problem during his set he made amazing work too..for me interesting, because of his bit dark mood in the sound, on moments making it out of the definitions – psychedelic.

This Youth Exchange [YE] is something like vol.II of the YE Power of art. On the first one I lead sticker art workshop and on the open space in discussion with the participants there was the interest of learning more about street art. For this one [Voice of Art] we decide to accept the idea and to share more information for this wave in the contemporary art.

The participants firstly have the opportunity to hear something about the sticker art and the different styles of creating them and during the time for workshop they had the chance to try to create pieces of art in which they will mix different materials as sprays, markers, paper, colors, stencils etc..for the one that were interested in vis a vis conversation I explain more about the old school graffiti, colorful, 3D, characters etc. My idea was to try to mix both styles on one board. Big stickers vs. Colors, sprays, stencils..composition. They were pretty interested in the idea also as in the topic and all of them invent creative and unique ideas. One of the participants on the workshop for art installations decide to use stickers in her installation, so basically she was attending 2 workshops in same time and create and learn more about 2 new forms for her. Also there were participants who create more then 10 stickers that after we scan and apply on big board that was also part of the exhibition in 'maison de la familles'.

All of the participants mainly understood the meaning of street art because besides this program that guides them directly trough the process of creating art piece they also learn more about the Youth in Action (YiA) program that actually finance this kind of youth activities in which the young people via informal way learn. On this exchange the participants hear new things about the contemporary art that comes from their countries, their culture, tradition etc.
The final results from my workshop I see as very progressive. All of the pieces on different way are bringing the message for solidarity. The works are nice and unique as their understanding the meaning of solidarity filtered trough this techniques.

The installation workshop come as result after the first project 'Power of art'. It was obvious that the young people are more inform about the contemporary art nowadays, and even that they made great stuff on the painting workshop, they had a deeper concept and more progressive ideas. It was the same with my workshop 'sticker art that this time was updated in street art..

The idea that Bruno de Sario [Italy] on the first project give to Us [Together] was a perfect method/ process of creating conceptual/ contemporary art works/ installation from organic and recycled materials. Project very, very ecoLOGICal, trying to invent art concept from low budget materials that are easy for recycling or already recycled for me is science. The connection of them with organic stuff, associate me on connection with nature, one of the first rules that we need to respect if we are aware persons. That was excellent starting point for raising better youth values trough this specific art.

The participants who attend his workshop [I wish I was one of them] were amazed from the way of getting into the materia, from the explanations about the history of this field of art, and the knowledge that without reserve he share with them. ;)
He help them bringing their ideas in the cleanest and purest forms that were catchy for the eyes of all of us (participants) and also the public on the opening of the exhibition.
Solidarity as topic is important for the civil society today. We must be active in creating society in which solidarity is accepted in way of producing it, not just on a level of understanding it as definition.

This post is written just because I'm grateful to Bruno for being there and being that what HE is :)
